Air conditioning service: recharge is not always the fix

Weak cooling often points to leaks, clogged filters, or electrical faults. A top-up alone can mask the real problem.

A clogged pollen filter cuts airflow, fogs glass, and causes mouldy AC smell. Cheap fix—book it with your next oil change.

Does AC gas just run out?

Not in a sealed system. Low level usually means a leak that should be found first.

Will a cabin filter fix mouldy smell?

Often for the first minutes of airflow. Persistent odour may need evaporator cleaning.
