Oil change or full service: choosing the right appointment
Booking the wrong job wastes a bay and a morning. Service labels on booking platforms are not marketing copy. They are a short checklist for matching labour time to the work the car actually needs.
Oil change
Best when you are due for oil and filter, with no other major faults. Shorter duration makes it easier to fit into a free morning bay. Bring the oil grade recommended in the handbook if you have a preference.
Full service
Choose this when the workshop should run a broader checklist: fluids, filters, belts, lights, and a longer inspection. It needs a longer slot, so book ahead rather than hoping for a same-day gap.
Diagnostics and brakes
Warning lights, noise under braking, or uneven tire wear belong on diagnostics or brake service. Add a short note on the booking form so the desk can prepare tools and parts. If you are unsure, book diagnostics first. Many garages will advise whether a follow-up full service slot is needed.
FAQ
How often should I change engine oil?
Follow the handbook — often 15,000–30,000 km or yearly. Short urban trips may need shorter intervals.
Can I book an oil change online in Luxembourg?
Yes. On CarFix, choose Oil change, pick a partner garage, and reserve a free slot.
