Privacy policy

1. What data does Carfix process?

Account data (name, email, phone), vehicle data (make, model, plate, mileage) and booking data. Registration documents scanned to fill in vehicle details are not stored.

2. Purpose and legal basis

Arranging and carrying out garage appointments (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Reminder and offer emails only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Sharing with garages

A garage only receives your contact and vehicle details for appointments you book with that garage. Garages never see bookings you make elsewhere.

4. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. You can export your data and delete your account yourself under My Carfix → Personal data. Supervisory authority: Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), Luxembourg.

Terms & partner conditions

Booking requests become binding only once the garage confirms them. Drivers pay the garage directly; Carfix does not process payments for repairs.

Drivers can cancel or reschedule upcoming bookings from My Carfix. Reviews can only be left for visits booked through Carfix and must be honest and respectful.

Partner garages keep their prices, services and opening hours up to date. Premium placement is invoiced by Carfix and activated with a code.
